Sun Ridge Vineyard is located on the rolling Rattlesnake Hills AVA located in the sunny Yakima Valley. This Cabernet Sauvignon is grown on 5.5 acres, with an elevation of 1200 feet. The soils that nourish these vines is a mix of sandy loam and rocks. Which in turn, grows strong vigorous vines and produces small size berries.
At harvest, the grape berries are picked with a state of the art machine from Italy. This process fine grades the berries for fermentation. We are hands on throughout the whole winemaking process. The resulting wine is barrel aged for two years in French oak barrels. And bottled aged for a year+. This aging process smooths out the tannins and makes for a delicious dry, full bodied wine.
With tasting notes of red cherry, a touch of coffee, blackberry, cedar and vanilla.
Pairs wonderfully with smoked meats, pasta, aged cheeses and burgers with grilled Yakima Valley vegetables.
